After a year+ in the world of full time Airbnb, and staying in our most questionable rental to date, we began wondering if shifting to an RV would be right for us. Never had a camper. Never pulled a fifth-wheel. Never driven a Class A. But on a steamy 85° in the bowels of Rural Hall, NC, we began poking around some sweltery rigs entertaining the thought.
Inventory woes from the COVID craze are definitely still a thing. Models on site were slim, but we wandered and compared.
The dealer only had one coach, a few Class Cs and less than a handful of fifth-wheels. We were immediately drawn to Grand Design’s Solitude 390RK. The rear kitchen is no joke and the living area had more space than we expected!
Despite the icky sticky day, we discovered we needed to determine if we could survive full time in such a tiny space… and what our must-haves were gonna be!
