Love unique spots like this. Boardwalk Loop behind Harry Hampton Visitor Center is a neat way to explore some of the beautiful wilderness of Congaree National Park.
The boardwalk runs the length of the trail. After heavy rains, the walk can be flooded. Water levels were still tapering off from previous flooding on our St. Patrick’s Day hike and just had inches to go in a few sections for the boardwalk to be clear. It was nothing we couldn’t walk through. In fact, it made it more fun!
Grab the Self-Guided Boardwalk Tour flyer outside the Visitor Center for information on 20 marked locations along the trail.
Benches constructed into the boardwalk provide spots to kick back and enjoy the scenery.
happy hikng!
