The Hughes Historic House is the well-preserved 19th century Victorian home of Patrick and Jane Hughes. Settling on Cape Blanco shortly after the civil war and creating a life as dairy farmers, the couple waited 30 years to build their new home. Today, it’s on the National Register of Historic Places and is maintained by the Cape Blanco Heritage Society.
