No official trailhead for our path on this hike. Parking was just on the side of Chamberlain Hwy to pick up the trail east of Elmere Reservoir. Castle Craig gives this route a unique destination point.
Nice trail with mostly great shade. Fantastic lookouts on the east side of the loop and at the castle.
Reservoirs and lookouts on the southern side of the loop to the castle. Forest walk on the north. Hiked clockwise to climb the steep side of the hike instead of descend it. If done again we’d go counterclockwise to end with the views.
