Boeing Future of Flight - Mukilteo WA
For the aviation curious, the Boeing Future of Flight Aviation Center - located in the Greater Seattle area in the city of Mukilteo - consists of a gallery touching on the evolution and possibilities of flight as well as a sky deck. The biggest draw to this facility, however, is its factory tour.
The gallery contains hands-on, kid friendly exhibits - including a robotics station and a drone station.
Other additions to Aviation Center are the middeck of a space shuttle and the shell of a 787 Dreamliner that highlights the number if pieces it takes to put said shell together.
From the Sky Deck, visitors can watch daily flight tests of new planes and, on a clear day, take in views of Mount Olympus.
Factory tours at Boeing Future of Flight have been out of commission since the start of the pandemic. Once posted projections of a reopening date of April 2023 have come and gone. As of August 2023 - tours are still closed with no reopening date in site.
