One World Observatory
One World Observatory - New York NY
The One World Observatory sits atop 99 floors of Lower Manhattan’s One World Trade Center - the tallest building in the western hemisphere. Three floors encompass 125,000 square feet with restaurants, souvenir shops, and an observatory offering sweeping views of New York’s iconic skyline.
Visitors must pass through security screening to enter.
We had time to do just one skyscraper during our jaunts to New York City and chose to One World Observatory. We wanted to see the city skyline both during the day and at night. And with cocktails and dinner reservations at One Dine, One World Observatory gave us the best of both.
The ride to the 102 floor is impressive. Stepping into the SkyPod Elevator places visitors into an immersive experience. As the elevator ascends, the ride reveals the transformation of the New York Skyline from the natural landscape of early America to today’s skyscrapers.
Exiting the elevator places visitors in a second immersive presentation that ends with a dramatic rise of the immersive screens revealing the New York Skyline.
