Irondequoit Bay Lighthouse
Irondequoit Bay Pier and Lighthouse - Irondequoit NY
Located on Lake Ontario, the Irondequoit Lighthouse can be found in Irondequoit Bay State Marine Park.
We couldn’t find any history about the light, but we didn’t think this stop was much of a lighthouse at all. We’d classify this one as more of a pier light.
It was the most difficult light to see on our lighthouse trek because the area is extremely crowded. The marina and adjacent amusement park make this location a popular attraction.
The more interesting points of the area have nothing to do with the light, but the plaque acknowledging Seneca people, the swinging Irondequoit Bay Outlet Bridge, and the swans enjoying the bay.
You could safely skip this one and not feel slighted.
