Snorkeling Matecumbe Bight
The Jetty - Mantecumbe Bight FL
Our favorite place to snorkel in the Florida Keys for the 2022 season, Matecumbe Bight, happened to be right outside of our door.
Morning coffee under the tiki hut was amazing. And plopping into the water to snorkel right off the jetty whenever we wanted was a treat!
Dozens of Grunts, a few Tangs, and several schools of Rainbow Parrot Fish continuously hung out under the dock. Two beautiful Green Moray Eels would peek out at us every morning.
Several Nurse Sharks shimmied by keeping us on our toes.
One morning, Lee came across a conch scooting along the ocean floor.
And we quickly realized that churning sand meant the local Sting Ray was either feeding or freaking out because we were in his domain.
