We explored this hike/bike trail with my baby sister. No real reason for picking this particular route. Just simply curious as to what a bike trail in the middle of Florida looks like. Fallen trees and low limbs crossing the bike trail in multiple locations throughout left the impression that it isn’t well maintained for bike use.

Recent heavy rains made sections of the trail boggy. We had to skirt flooded sections to avoid wading through swampy water. and consequently we all picked up several ticks in the process. Gross.

Even so, it was a unique experience picking our way through this one. I clocked just under 5 miles.

Definitely a unique one to tick off our list. Pun intended!
