Shark Valley Loop - Everglades FL

In the heart of the freshwater marsh that is Everglades National Park sits beautiful Shark Valley.

Visitors can explore the area via the 15 mile multiuse scenic loop known as Shark Valley Tram Road. The route is flat, paved, and has very little shade, and it’s the perfect spot to experience the park outside of your vehicle. Cyclists are asked to pause their ride as the park tram approaches and passes.

Bikes can be rented at the Shark Valley Visitor Center.

Wishing we had started this ride earlier in the day, we tackled this 15 miles of minimal shade and easy sweat on a very warm day right around lunch. A ride straight though would have given us a little breeze, but of course we stopped multiple times to check out the alligators. Who doesn’t want to see baby alligators?! Very fun ride!
