Robert Frost Stone House Museum

Robert Frost Stone House - Shaftsbury VT

An eighteenth-century Dutch Colonial of native stone and timber, the Robert Frost Stone House Museum is a literary landmark celebrating one of America’s favorite poets. The house was the home of Frost from 1920 to 1928, and it’s where he wrote Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening.

Two rooms are open and dedicated to a self-guided tour: the dining room which contains the table at which Frost worked, and the main living space containing extensive information of Frost, his family, and a timeline of his life.

Humble stop in Shaftsbury VT, but interesting to walk the space that inspired the Pulitzer Prize winning poet. Grounds are peaceful and are the trailhead for the two-mile Robert Frost Trail
