Explored on a hot sunny day with Rebecca!
Short peaceful trail on Pine Island near Fort Meyers. The trail paths around Pineland Site; an area once occupied by the Calusa people.
With equal parts shade and sunshine, the trail is flat and easy with a few mounds to climb and observation platforms that provide views over the site.
Nice way to learn some of the history of the area.
